The Defenders of Maryland in the War of 1812 [UNDER CONSTRUCTION]

This database documents the citizen-soldiers and Federal forces from Maryland that defended the state during the War of 1812. Included are muster rolls, obituaries, photos and burial sites of those Maryland defenders if found.

Civil War Prisoners Database [UNDER CONSTRUCTION]

This database documents citizens and soldiers were temporarily confined at Fort McHenry as political prisoners and prisoners of war. Many prominent Marylanders, including members of the Maryland legislature, the Mayor of Baltimore, and the grandson of Francis Scott Key were imprisoned at Fort McHenry Military Prison, one of the "American Bastilles" of the North.
